English Lake District

The English Lake District has always been one of my favourite places (if not THE favourite) because of the beauty and variety of its scenery, its ability to rapidly switch 'moods' from storm to serenity, and the very human scale of its features.

This portfolio presents a very limited perspective on the different facets of the lakes, focused around the two central jems, Grasmere and Rydal Water, with the meadows and trails of White Moss between them. Not far away are Loughrigg Tarn and the Langdales, while Brothers Water and Ullswater to the north and Derwentwater and Watendlath to the west round out this portfolio.
