Industrial Landscape
This portfolio illustrates aspects of the interplay between nature and man-made things -- railroad tracks, locomotives, abandoned vehicles and industrial landscapes.
The tracks are Southern Pacific just south of Merced, near San Miguel and downtown Portland, and Burlington Northern at Bartstow. The abstracts of the mechanics of railway locomotives are from the National Railway Museum in York. The wrecks come from the ghost towns of Ballarat in California and Rhyolite in Nevada, and near San Miguel.
