Images of Winter

As a primarily black and white photographer, I find winter an especially interesting time with the contrasts between dark trees and buildings and the white frost and snow.

This portfolio ranges from winter in the majesty of Yosemite, to Central Park in New York city, the wild shapes of the tufa in Mono Lake in the eastern Sierra, and the unhospitable moorland of a North Lancashire farm. Each of these widely separate venues illustrates the starkness and beauty that winter can bring to the city and landscape.
